Track, decline and revoke

Follow a document after sending, and what to do when it needs stopping.

Follow a document

Outbox (Sent in the institutions app) lists everything you've sent, and your dashboard shows totals. Open a document to see:

  • Signatures: each signer, their role, and where they stand: Waiting, Pending, Signed or Declined. With One after another, later signers show Waiting until it is their turn.
  • Audit trail: every step on the document, each with its fingerprint.
  • Verification: the link and QR code for the public check page. See Verify a document.

A document's status is one of Awaiting signatures, Signed, Verified (a fully signed document someone has independently checked), Declined or Revoked.

If a signer declines

A signer can decline when it is their turn, and must give a reason. Declining closes the document for everyone, and you see the reason. To try again, create a new document.

Revoke a document

If you sent something by mistake, open the document and use Revoke this document. You must give a reason.

  • Revoking closes the document for everyone, and it can't be undone.
  • The credits already spent are not refunded.
  • The verification page shows a clear Revoked result, so anyone holding an old link or printout can see it is no longer valid.

Only the sender can revoke. In an institution, anyone from the institution can revoke its documents.
